Samuel Vildivia, the high school student from Arizona reportedly involved in a love triangle with his math teacher Tamara Hoffman was killed last week by her boyfriend Sixto Balbuena. According to reports, Sixto, 20, found the couple together in her bedroom at close to 3 am on Friday and stabbed Samuel, 18, to death and assaulted Tamara, 48 because he was jealous. He made the call to 911 himself and was arrested on second degree murder charges.
Aalegedly Balbuena had arrived at Hoffman;s home in the 2500 block of West Ironwood Drive at about 2 am and called her to tell her that he was there. She did not answer to he let himself into her house and then heard noises from the bedroom. He grabbed a knife and entered the bedroom where he saw a young man run into the bathroom. He forced himself into the bathroom to find the man in his boxer shorts and Hoffman was completely nude. He says he was mad to see them this way and then began hitting the man with various things including a computer printer. He said he had not wanted to kill the young man and had stabbed him only to make some injury. He then turned on Hoffman but id not stab her. He called 911 and waited for the police to arrive.
Meanwhile Tamara Hoffman is a sex offender who had been disciplined and forced to resign from Marcos de Niza High School after she was found in a compromising situation with Sixto Balbuena, then 17. She went on to teach at El Dorado High School where she met Samuel Valdivia when he was 17 too.
